A lesson plan is a map to guide how to progress school classes. The purpose of this study is to analysis a range of PE lesson plans focused on improving creativity and character development in Korea. Specifically, ten lesson plans conducted by a creativity and character study group from Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity(KOFAC) were selected. The study found that each plan reflected the an important facet of creativity and character provided by KOFAC and the integrated lesson approach which is emphasized in the 2009 revised national curriculum of physical education. In addition, a wide variety of lesson strategies and lesson models were provided in the lesson plans, particularly, new sports activities were highly focused. However, there were too many factors of creativity and character in the lesson plans, with a formidable amount of contents and a lack of understanding of lesson models. In this sense, we need to explore in detail forms of the integrated approach with other subjects in primary schools in order to achieve creativity and character development through physical education. Furthermore, there is an urgent need for using a range of lesson resources for creativity and character development through the continuous professional teacher development.
