본 연구는 사회복지에서 가치의 위상과 의미를 확인하고 한국의 사회복지대학교육에 서 이에 걸맞은 방식으로 가치가 교육되고 있는지를 문헌연구방법을 통해 확인하기 위 한 것이다. 사회복지에서 가치는 이론과 실천의 방향성과 내용을 규정하는 핵심적인 위 상을 지니고 있음을 확인할 수 있었지만, 사회복지의 가치에 대해서는 연구자들 사이에 많은 차이가 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 정책지향 학자와 실천지향 학자간의 가치의 차이 는 더 두드러지게 나타났다. 또한 대학에서 가치를 가르치는 핵심 교과목인 ‘사회복지 윤리와 철학’에서는 대부분 규범윤리학을 다루고 있으며 성찰적 윤리학이라고 할 수 있 는 메타윤리학을 다루는 경우는 거의 없었다. 게다가 사회복지의 가치보다는 전문직 윤 리에 더 치중되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 ‘사회복지 윤리와 철학’이 라는 교과목을 ‘사회복지 가치와 윤리’로 바꿀 것과 함께, 이 교과목에서는 규범윤리학 이 아닌 메타윤리학을 가르칠 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.
This research identifies status and meaning of social welfare values and verifies that values is appropriately educated in social welfare education in Korean University through literature reviewing research method. It is confirmed that values on social welfare has an essential status in formulating direction and contents of social welfare theory and practice, however researchers have different values on social welfare. Especially values difference on social welfare is divided greatly between social policy oriented researchers and practice oriented researchers. In addition 'Social Welfare Ethics and Philosophy,' essential subject in teaching values in University, is mostly approached in normative ethics and hardly covered with meta ethics, which is reflective ethics. The research suggests that 'Social Welfare Ethics and Philosophy', a curriculum, should be replaced with 'Social Welfare Values and Philosophy', and it is necessary to teach meta ethics instead of teaching normative ethics in this curriculum.
