본 연구는 자아존중감과 근로소득의 관계에서 차별경험 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 한국장애인고용공단에서 조사한 장애인 고용패널 6차 데이 터자료를 활용하였다. 장애인고용패널 조사대상자 2,092명 중 결측값을 제외한 1,755명 을 대상으로 SPSS 20.0을 수행하였다. 분석결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 자아존중감이 높을수 록 근로소득에 직접적인 상관관계를 나타내며 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자아존중감과 차별경험이 근로소득에 미치는 영향 검증에서 모두 통계 적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 근로소득 간에 차별경험은 완전매개효 과가 있는 것으로 확인 되었다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 장애인고용 정책 수립에 필요한 정보를 제공하고 장애인의 자아존중감 향상과 차별경험에 대한 정책적 함의를 제시한다.
This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of discrimination experience on the relationship between self-esteem and the financial income of disabled workers. To do this, we made use of the data of the sixth-year disability employment panel that was collected by the Korea Employment of People with Disabilities Development Institute. Excluding missing values, SPSS 20.0 was carried out on 1,755 out of 2,092 disabilities employment panel survey participants. The result of the analysis showed statistically significant results indicating that high self-esteem has a direct correlation to financial income. Also, the effects of discrimination experience and self-esteem on financial income were verified to be statistically significant. Finally, it was shown that experience of discrimination due to disability has a complete mediating effect between labor income and self-esteem. Hence this research is a practical grounds for implementing disabled employment policies that offers insight into the discrimanation experiences of disbled workers and aims to boost their self-esteem.
