본 연구의 목적은 대학 창의․인성교육의 교육효과성과 교육과정 품질에 대한 대학생들의 인식을 조사하고 개선방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 창의․인성교육은 창의교육과 인성교육을 결합시킨 새로운 교육모형으로, 주로 초․중등교육에서 이루어지고 있으며 대학생 대상 시행 사례는 찾기가 쉽지 않다. 이에 본 연구는 충남 소재 4년제 J대학교에서 교양필수 교과목으로 진행되는 창의․인성교육을 사례 연구하여 교육효과성과 교육과정 품질에 대한 학생들의 인식을 조사, 분석하고 개선방향을 탐색하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 대학생들은 창의․인성교육이 인성 함양과 창의력 향상 모두에 기여하고 있다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생들은 창의․인성교육의 교육과정 품질과 관련하여, 교육내용 및 교수․학습방법에 대해서는 상당히 긍정적으로 인식하면서도 개선의 필요성이 있다고 응답하였다. 교육시간의 적절성에 대해서도 긍정적으로 평가했지만 교육내용 및 교수․학습방법에 비해서는 낮았다. 특히 창의․인성교육에 추가적인 노력을 투입하는 것에 대해서는 교육시간의 적절성에 비해서 더욱 만족도가 떨어졌다. 이를 종합하면 학생들은 창의․인성교육의 효과성에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하지만, 교육과정 품질에 대해서는 덜 만족스럽게 생각하는 영역이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 대학생 창의․인성교육의 효과성과 확산가능성을 보여주는 기초자료를 제공했다는 연구의 공헌도와 함께, 교육과정 품질을 제고하려는 추가적인 노력이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of university students on the educational effectiveness and the quality of educational process of creativity-character education and search for improvement ideas. Creativity-character education is the new model combining creativity education and character education. It has been being implemented mainly in elementary and secondary education and it is difficult to find the case of being implemented to the whole freshmen at the university level. Therefore, this study investigated and analysed the case of creativity-character education being offered as a required general education course in J university located in Choongnam Province. The results of this study were as follows; First, students were found to perceive creativity․character education is effective in improving both character and creativity. Second, regarding the quality of educational process of creativity-character education, students were found to perceive the contents and teaching learning methods positively but there were still room for improvement. Students were also found to perceive suitability of education time positively but comparatively less satisfying than the contents and teaching learning methods. Especially, students were found to perceive additional effort provision for creativity․character education even less satisfying than suitability of educational time. All in all, it was confirmed that students perceived educational effectiveness positively but found some areas of educational process need to be improved. This study results represent positive contribution of creativity․character education by showing educational effectiveness and providing baseline data helping spread of creativity․character education. However, this study results also suggest that further effort is required to improve the quality of educational process.
