The concept of ecomuseum that came into the world in France in the late 1960s is attracting much interest in this modern age due to the loss of balance between urban and rural areas, the loss of identity, interest in ecology, and the necessity of lifelong learning. The reality of our farm villages is also similar. This thesis attempts to examine the cases of successful local community projects of the community building through the community business of Wanju county from the perspective that the ideal of ecomuseum can become an alternative to future farm villages. To do this, limiting the ecomuseum target ‘territory’ to Wanju county, this researcher attempts to analyze it by dividing it into the preservation of the local heritage, residents’ participation, and museum activity territories, and confirms the feasibility of Wanju county as the ecomusium and proposes it. To highlight the case of Wanju county that includes the mutual networking between the communities as the intangible assets, this researcher names it ‘Community Village’ and proposes ‘Wanju Community Village Ecomuseum’ and, at the same time, attempts to cast light on the roles of the museum for the future of farm villages.
