본 연구는 최근 학교현장에서 많이 대두되고 있는 수업 컨설팅에 대하여 초등학교 교사들이 어떠 한 환경과 상황적 배경에서 수업 컨설팅이 출발하며 그 과정은 어떠한지,컨설팅 과정을 통하여 드 러나는 초등학교 수업 컨설팅의 특징들은 어떠한지 질적인 방법으로 알아보고자 하였다.연구 결과, 교사들은 컨설팅에 임할 때 스스로 자신의 수업 개선에 대한 고민으로 의욕적인 태도로 임하였으 며,컨설턴트의 선정은 동료 교사들의 소개나 추천으로 선정하는 모습을 보였다.수업 컨설턴트 과 정에서 컨설턴트와 교사 모두 서로 만족할 수 있도록 모든 측면에서 노력을 아끼지 않았으며,교사 는 컨설팅이 진행되기전 학습 내용을 선정하는 과정에서 마치 ‘바다 속에서 진주를 찾는 것’과 같이 다양한 방면에서 자료를 조사 수집하였고 컨설팅 과정에서 컨설턴트는 여러 가지 나아갈 길을 제 시하였지만 결국 최종적으로 선택하는 것은 교사의 몫이었다.컨설턴트의 조언과 교사의 생각이 합 치되는 것의 여부와는 별개로 교사의 판단으로 수업을 펼쳐나가는 것을 볼 수 있었다.
This study looked into the contents and the method for instructional consulting in elementary school field, analysed in terms of consulting participants and class to discover the way for being established and revitalized. In terms of consulting participants, instructional consulting has been established when teacher had active intention toward improving the teaching. In terms of class, the teacher requested the consultant for advice after collecting data from variety ways. The main topics were constructed by both participants. But the final selection how to teach was for the teacher. I propose the development plan for activation of instructional consulting as belows. First, spontaneous atmosphere should be formed to ask instructional consulting. It could be burden to particpate in consulting under compelling situation. Second, the plan to provide abundant consideration should be established, that let teacher request advisedly. There is a need to expand the range of choice by providing a variety of information for teacher. Third, it should be operated flexibly toward customized consulting for participants. Considering individual situation to support teacher’s demand will conduce to meaningful consulting. Forth, the positive atmosphere to develop and improve teaching should be settled.
