The behavior of extraction of rhenium and molybdenum from molybdenite ore leaching solutions by
solvent extraction using Alamine 304-1 as extractant has been investigated with concentration of
Alamine 304-1, equilibrium pH and O/A ratio. From the result , with 10 % Alamine 304-1, pH 3 and
O/A ratio 1, recovery efficiency of Re and Mo were respectively more than 99%. This results show
recovery of the Re from the Mo is no selective. Stripping of rhenium from loaded organic phase
with HNO3 was efficient more than NH4OH and NaCl and the rhenium stripping efficiencies were
obtained at about 80% at the same experimental condition whereas molybdenum stripped about 40 %.
Although Mo was co-stript, 12.72 of separation factor value of βRe/Mo shows separation of Re from
Mo is possible.
