본 연구는 인성교육진흥법의 시행과 더불어 인성교육이 학교현장에서 의무적으로 부과됨에 따라 학교급별 인성 수준을 살펴보고, 고등학교 인성교육의 가능성과 방향을 탐색하는 것을 목 표로 한다. 학교급별 학생들의 인성 수준을 진단한 연구결과에 따르면 초등학교의 인성수준이 가장 높고, 중학교의 인성수준이 가장 낮으며, 고등학교의 인성수준은 중학교에 비해 높지만 초등학교 수준에는 미치지 못한다. 본 연구는 ‘고등학생이 고교 인성교육의 능동적인 주체가 되어야 하지 않는가’라는 문제의식을 견지하면서, G고등학교 학생연구원이 수행한 인성교육 창의융합 과제연구(R&E) 결과에 근거하여 고교 인성교육의 방향을 설정하였다.
Enforcement of the Character Education Promotion Act shows directly us how national ․ social demands for character education are great. This paper delves into diagnosis of character in school and possibility & orientation of character education in high school. According to surveys diagnosing the actual state of character by school grade, character level of elementary school is first, that of high school is second, and that of middle school is third. With research problem that student should become active subject of character education, this study established orientation of high school character education on the basis of the result of creative convergence R & E about character education
