This study is intended to grasp the present condition of planning process of leisure activity
program for persons with disabilities through the analysis of leisure activity programs
conducted in lifelong education field for persons with disabilities. In order to carry out the
study, first of all, among leisure activity programs for persons with disabilities, which had
been conducted in the lifelong education field for persons with disabilities since 2000, 20
proposals for leports programs for persons with disabilities, the weakest type, were selected
as ones to be studied. They were analyzed by using the ʻCriteria for an Analysis of Planning
Process of Leisure Activity Program for Persons with Disabilitiesʼ personally developed by
the researcher. According to the results, all of 20 studied programs included analysis criteria
of 「program status analysis」, 「program operation method」, and 「resources securing and
management」 among the planning process areas. On the contrary, in case of 「program
requirement analysis」 and 「program goal shift」, only one program included analysis criteria
for each area. And in case of 「marketing and public relations strategy」, no program included
the analysis criteria.
The results of present condition of planning process of leisure activity program for
persons with disabilities in this study are expected to help develop a planning manual of
leisure activity program for persons with disabilities and operate a process of training
developers of leisure activity program for persons with disabilities in the future.
