This study was performed to know the recognition attitude of the general public toward physical education teachers. On the first stage, a standardized questionnaire was developed based on the Likert scale measure. On the second stage, the data, collected from the respondents sampled by the proportional sampling method according to the demographic variable using the developed questionnaire, was analyzed. The conclusion is as follows: First, on the culture of physical education teachers, in age groups, the people in their fifties or more showed the highest average and the people in their forties showed the lowest average. In occupation groups, the teacher group showed the highest average and the office worker group showed the lowest average. Second, on the professionalism of physical education teachers, men showed higher average than women. In age groups, the people in their fifties or more showed the highest average. In occupation groups, the teacher group showed the highest average and the office worker group showed the lowest average. Third, on the morality of physical education teachers, men showed higher average than women. In age groups, the people in their fifties or more showed the highest average. In occupation groups, the teacher group showed the highest average and the office worker group showed the lowest average. Fourth, on the sense of responsibility of physical education teachers, men showed higher average than women. In age groups, the people in their fifties or more showed the highest average. In occupation groups, the teacher group showed the highest average and the student group showed the lowest average.
