I will introduce you a brief overview of the health care system in Norway (population 4.9 millions; life expectancy at birth 82 years for women and 78 years for men) and I will give you an introduction to the organization and financing of the primary health care with main focus on long term care. I will point out the future challenge sin long term care in Norway. Last, but not least I will give you an introduction to how we plan and prepare for meeting the future challenges through what we called Care plan 2015.
