This study aims at finding out how the interview training using role play affects
the communication attitudes and the self-efficiency of students with intellectual
disability.
For this purpose, 40 students were selected in C and O special-education high
school students(1-3 grade) with intellectual disability on purpose in G-do. Each
twenty students were assigned to an experimental group and a controlled group. The
test group would receive experiments, 5 sessions per week for four weeks, total 20
times. In these experiments, the test group would receive the interview training with
the role play and the control group would only receive an ordinary interview.
The result of this study, it is identified that the interview training with role play is
an efficacious teaching method to improve the communication attitude and the
self-efficiency of intellectual disability students. Thus, it is proven that the interview
training utilizing role play is an effective teaching strategy to enhance the
communication attitude and the self-efficiency of the high school student with
intellectual disability.
