본 연구는 초등학교에서 영토교육으로서 독도 교육과 초등학생들의 독도에 대한 인 식을 알아보고 미래지향적 과제로서 독도 교육의 방향을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 사회과 교과서에 제시된 독도 교육 내용, 『마주보는 한일사 Ⅲ 한일 근현대사』의 독도 관련 내용과 동북아역사재단의 ‘초등학교 독도 바로알기 교재’ 등을 재구성하여 수업을 구안하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 학생들은 현재 독도와 관련된 이슈를 인식하고 독도를 해 결해야 할 미래 지향적 과제로 인식하게 되었다. 둘째, 학생들은 우리 영토를 위한 교육으로 서 독도의 지리적, 역사적, 사회적 중요성에 대해 인식하게 되었다. 셋째, 주변국으로서 일본 의 독도에 대한 주장을 파악하고 분석해 봄으로써 그들의 주장 근거를 면밀히 검토하는 계 기가 되었고, 오히려 이러한 것들이 일본의 부당한 주장에 담긴 의미를 탐색하고 이에 대응 하는 우리의 자세를 정립하는 계기가 되었다. 넷째, 학생들이 독도 문제를 보다 객관적인 시 각으로 인식하게 되었다. 다섯째, 본 연구가 수업자에게 독도 교육의 방향성에 대한 깊은 고 민을 안겨 주었다는 점이다. 마지막으로 2015 초등학교 개정 사회과 교육과정의 독도교육 성 취기준을 고려한 교과서의 구성 및 서술의 방향을 알아볼 수 있었다.
This study is to learn the location of Dokdo as a territory education in elementary education, learn awareness of elementary school students about Japan and to view Dokdo the appearance of Dokdo education as a future-oriented project with the Japanese. For this, lesson plan of Dokdo territories relevant educational content presented in elementary social studies, to reconstruct The history of facing Korea and Japan Part Ⅲ modern history textbooks and Dokdo aids were designed. The results of this study, first, Students became aware of the issues associated with the current recognized Dokdo and became aware of the future challenges to be solved with Japan. Second, Students became aware of Dokdo as the geographical, historical and social importance of education for our territory. Third, it was an opportunity for understanding the claim of Japan as neighbor state, and that gave them a chances that analyze carefully review their claims. and that was a big opportunity to establish our position against these things that are to explore the meaning contained in the unjust claims of Japan. Fourth, the students became aware of the Dokdo issue in a more objective view. Fifth, I have received deep concerns about the direction of Dokdo education. Finally I was able to recognize the direction and configuration of the textbook descriptions of Dokdo education considering the achievement standard of the 2015 Revised Elementary Social Studies Curriculum.
