The purposes of this study were to investigate the characteristics and kinds of salt, a cultural symbolic meaning of the salt shown in folklore and fairy tales and to search examples for activities and cases relating to the salt in FAT. A summary of this study follows: First, the kinds of salt were solar salt, remanufacture salt, refined salt, bamboo salt, Angelica Utilis Makino of salt as edible salt. Solar salt is as low as 80 to 88 % sodium chloride content, but include calcium, magnesium, potassium and other minerals, nutritionally better, rein in blood pressure, can help prevent diabetes. Second, salt symbolizes life, faithful, wit etc. Symbolic meaning of salt is shamanistic meaning as shown in folklore and fairy tales about how salt was to repel evil forces so recognized cultural symbolism. Third, salt as a typical ingredients of the FAT is available free and creative work with a variety of topics and version, and is relevant to emotional expression. A symbol refers to a revelation of inner power originating from the unconscious which can be easily expressed in verbal forms. It needs to understand symbols in application of FAT.
