The purpose of this study is to compare clinical characteristics of children, who visit clinics for emotional-behavior problems in different income levels. To compare children with emotional-behavior problems by the income levels, Songpa AiZone and Junggu Aizone, Seoul Type of Children & Adolescents Day Treatment Center and private medical institution in Gyeonggi are selected. Research tools such as Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (K-WISC-Ⅲ), Advanced Test for Attention(ATA), Korean-Cildren Behavior Checklist(K-CBCL) are used to verify the clinical characteristics. In results, there was non-significant difference between performance intelligence in cognitive function among income differentials. but Low income group has shown significantly low score in full scale intelligence, verbal intelligence, verbal comprehension index, similarities, vocabulatory, comprehence, arithmetic test. also, there was no significant difference among internalizing, externalizing and comorbidity in performance intelligence. however, verbal ability of low income and comorbidity group was significantly low than ordinary income group. Result from Advanced Test for Attention(ATA) displays that low income group scored higher points in visual omission error, visual stadard deviation of response and ordinary income group receiving significantly higher score in auditory response time area. Lastly implications and limitations of this study was discussed.
