본 연구는 부모 애착이 어떠한 기제를 통해 또래관계의 질에 영향을 미치는지를 확인하기 위해 실행기능과 인지적 정서조절이라는 인지적, 정서적 변인을 동시에 포함하여 이들 간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 구체적으로는 부모 애착과 또래관계의 질의 관계에서 실행기능과 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과를 검증 하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 강원도와 경상도 소재의 중학교에 재학 중인 중학교 1~3학년 226명의 실행기능 검사를 실시하였으며, 부모 애착, 또래관계의 질, 인지적 정서조절에 대한 자기보고 설문지를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시한 결과, 부모 애착과 또래관계 질 사이에서 인지적 정서조절이 유의미한 단순매개효과를 나타내었으며, 실행기능의 전환과 인지적 정서조절을 거치는 이중매개효과 또한 유의미한 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 또래관계의 불만족을 경험하는 청소년들에 대한 이해를 돕고, 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 효과적인 개입방안을 논의하였다.
This research aims to examine the relationship between parent attachment and quality of peer relationship in early adolescents, and the role of executive function and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation in mediating the relationship. This research collected data from 226 middle school students in the Kangwon and Kyungsang province by using self-report surveys for parent attachment, quality of peer relationship, and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy. Executive function was measured by one-on-one computerized tests for inhibition and set shifting, and one-on-one test for working memory. The results indicate that the mediating effect of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy was significant between parent attachment and quality of peer relationship, and the dual-mediating effect of shift and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategy between parent attachment and quality of peer relationship was also significant. The results of this study showed the importance of considering shift ability and cognitive emotion regulation strategy when helping adolescents with problems of peer relationship.
