The purpose of this study is to develop a teaching and learning model for collaborative learning
in mobile learning (m-learning) environments. For this purpose, this study utilized a literature
review and a three-round Delphi method that employed three expert panels to develop the
teaching and learning model. The teaching and learning model developed in this study includes six
primary phases: (1) providing orientation of mobile-based collaborative learning, (2) guiding
strategies for improving positive interdependence between students, (3) guiding strategies for
improving group reflection and social skills, (4) monitoring/facilitating students’ collaborative work,
(5) reviewing instruction and transferring, and (6) evaluating and summarizing. Each phase has
subsequent instructional activities and guidelines for the appropriate use of mobile devices. In
addition, this study employed two methods (i.e., usability test and expert validation) for model
validation. The results of this study indicated that the teaching and learning model was validated.
