This study is to examine the applicability of KSD as a complementary tool
of psychological test in evaluating adolescents' school life adaptation level.
To achieve the goal, KSD and the School Adjustment Scale were carried out
on 293 students who are in two high schools in Gyeonggi-do. For a value of
each category of the School Adjustment Scale, a correlation analysis between
value of subcategory of KSD and the School Adjustment Scale was
conducted by SPSS 21, and multi-variant analysis of value subcategory of
KSD was done according to the value of each category of the School
Adjustment Scale. The results were as follows. First, of KSD variables, the
activity area, the characteristic of drawing area, position, distance and barrier
area were positively related the subscale of school adjustment, some of them
correlated negatively. Second, there were significant differences in KSD as
the level of school life adaptation. That is, KSD of the students who got
high points in subcategories of school adjustment scale than counterparts had
more activity and interaction. Also, in the pictures of high points-group,
faces and face expressions were more friendly, length of arms was longer,
the kinds of background were more, the barriers were smaller, and the
numbers of their friends were more. Therefore, it seems that there is
applicability of KSD as the tool to measure level of adolescents' school life
adaptation.
