This study was to evaluate the current status of child abuse among children with disabilities and review the academic researches published in Korea since 2000 which had focused on child abuse among children with disabilities. According to the study results, since implementation of Special Act on Punishment of the Child Abuse, legislative and institutional policies on child maltreatment has been strengthened. however, protection for disabled children was revealed still insufficient. Second, current researches on disabled children abuse were divided into parents of children with disabilities and literature review. there were no research focused on children with disabilities. Although intervention is needed after disabled child abuse, aggressive prevention efforts should be made in the fist place to protect children against abuse. Therefore, it was suggested that social supports and appropriate abuse prevention programs for parents of children with disabilities should be provided.
