본 연구의 목적은 프로젝트 중심의 통합교육과정에서 유아들이 경험하는 몰입의 특성이 어떻 게 나타나는지 살펴보는 데 있다. 연구 참여자는 부천시내에 소재한 아파트 밀집 지역에 있는 공 립유치원의 만4세반 18명의 유아와 교사 1명이다. 연구기간은 2011년 8월 29일(월)～9월30일(금) 이며 이 기간 동안 총 20회의 다양한 자동차 프로젝트 활동이 이루어졌다. 자료 수집은 ‘자동차’ 프로젝트가 진행되는 과정을 비디오 녹화, 녹음, 사진 촬영하고 전사한 자료 및 유아의 작품 , 교 사의 반성적 저널 등을 자료수집 하였다. 연구결과 프로젝트 중심의 통합교육에서 나타난 몰입의 특징으로는 첫째, 프로젝트 도입부분에서 유아들은 흥미 있는 놀이에 전적으로 집중하는 특성을 보였으며 자발적으로 친구들과 공유하고자 하였다. 둘째, 탐구과정에서 유아들은 명확한 목표를 설정하는 몰입특성이 있으며 목표를 성취하는 과정에서 지식 발견의 즐거운 정서를 느끼고 있음 을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 프로젝트 전개과정에서는 교사의 지원을 통해 놀이에 집중하는 몰입 특성 과 도전과 기술의 균형에 대해 지각하는 몰입 특성, 또래와의 상호작용을 통한 몰입특성을 발견 할 수 있었다. 넷째, 프로젝트 종결단계에서는 전시준비 과정에서의 또래와의 상호작용을 통한 몰 입특성, 전시를 통한 자기목적적인 경험의 몰입특성과 즐거움을 발견할 수 있었다.
This study examined children participating project-based integrated curriculum by observing the children to experience of the meaningful absorptions is to understand the behavioral characteristics. Subjects were selected 18 four- year- old children from A public kindergarten. There were 8 females and 10 males. The research period Mon, Aug. 29, 2011 - Fri September 30, and a total of 20 meetings during this period was a wide range of automotive project activities. Data collection for this study, the 'Car' project and the process of video recording, recording, photographing and collecting fallen materials and children's work, such as teachers' reflective journals were collected. After the video tapes was transferred, added to the field notes and analyzed by case-studies .Again this subject, researchers and experts who studied infants and children's education together to review conducted by triangulation of data analysis was to increase the reliability and validity. The research produced 'Car' project activity appeared in the children's commitment to conduct an analysis of the characteristics results are summarized as follows. First, the 'Car' thoughts and feelings about their active and voluntary wish to share it with friends it was found that. Second, the children 'car' knowledge about the topic continues and expands the features of commitment was found that. Third, the children did not think he came out that the results showed that the more absorbed. Fourth, children activities, the project knowledge and skills that can be performed when possible prolonged absorbed time, while the level of activity that they can not be resolved if the activities do not give up and see the results could be absorbed. Fifth, children in meaningful situation represented an effort to challenge and they showed harmony between technology and the challenge was found that. Sixth, the children set clear goals in the project development activities by themselves and challenged suitable for their level of technology, the inner feeling of accomplishment in the process of compensation experience feelings of gradually and repetitive was showed characteristic of absorptions.
