This study aims to verify the effects of the arts therapy program on the toxicity of the smart phone
addicted elementary school students. The subjects of this study were the elementary school students who
use the local child care center in ○○-gu in Gwangju ○○, so the wireless assignments were conducted
based on 24 students who got the potential risk user group points from the smart phone addiction
diagnostic scale, so it was conducted twice a week, 1 hour 30 minutes per each session, a total of 12
sessions for two months from March, 5th until April 30th2013. As the tools of the study, the smart phone
addiction diagnostic scale developed by the Internet addiction counseling centers(2011) and the smart
phone addicted elementary school students의 toxicity and aggression pre and post test results were
analyzed by using the t-test for the statistical analysis. The results of this study are as follows. There was
the statistical significant difference(t=8.00, p<.001) of the toxicity of the smart phone addicted elementary
school students by the arts therapy. In other words, the toxicity of the smart phone addicted elementary
school students decreased. Therefore, based on the results of this study revealed, the following conclusions
are presented. First, the arts therapy program had effects of the decrease of the toxicity of the smart
phone addicted elementary school students.
