이 연구의 목적은 한국 사회에서 주변인으로 살아가는 조선족의 시선으로 한국 중산층 가정의 자녀 교육문화를 기술하는 것이다. 중국에서 학교 교사 경험을 가지고 있으며, 한국 가정에서 입주 가사 도우미와 가정교사를 겸하고 있는 두 명의 조선족 여성 연구참여자의 관점에서 한국 중산층 가정의 자녀교육문화를 살펴보았다. 이들이 경험한 자녀교육문화는 네 가지로 정리되었다. 첫째, 관대한 양 육태도와 엄격한 양육태도로 구분되는 두 가지 양육태도, 둘째, 풍요로운 물질적 지원, 셋째, 정서적 교감을 중시, 넷째, 학원에 대한 높은 의존이다. 한국어에 능숙하지만 이주민의 시각도 가지고 있는 조선족의 입장에서 한국 중산층의 자녀교육문화는 자본주의 사회의 특성을 보여주는 것이면서도 중 국에서 자신들의 학부모로서 삶을 반추하는 창이기도 했다.
The purpose of this study is to describe the education culture of Korean middle-class family through the eyes of Korean-Chinese who are living in a marginal life in Korea. We described the Korean family’s education culture in the perspective of two Korean-Chinese who have teaching experience in China, and are both resident tutor and housemaid in Korea. Korean family’s education culture which they experienced has four characteristics. First, fostering attitude can be divided into two types, which are generous upbringing style and strict upbringing style. Second, the family gives abundant material support to the children. Third, the family takes a serious view of the emotional sympathy. Fourth, Korean family’s education is highly dependent on the private academies. Korean-Chinese is good at Korean, and also have immigrant’s perspective. In the Korean-Chinese’s perspective, the Korean family’s education culture can reflect the nature of the Korean society’s highly competitive education culture.
