본 연구는 일반키보드를 사용하는 뇌성마비학생에게 컴퓨터 기반의 중재 프로그램(CAP ; Computer access Assessment Program)을 도입하여 화상키보드 쓰기 속도에 미치는 효과를 실증 적으로 검증하고, 일반키보드와의 쓰기 속도를 비교하고자 실시하였다. 화상키보드를 통한 CAP 중재는 뇌성마비학생 3명을 대상으로 주 3회, 매 회기 40분씩 총 20회기를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 CAP 중재는 화상키보드를 사용한 쓰기 속도를 향상시켰으며, 중재 후에도 쓰기 속도가 유지되었 다. 또한 기존 사용하였던 일반적인 qwerty키보드보다 쓰기 속도 측면에서 효율적인 것으로 밝혀 졌다. 본 연구를 통해 적합한 컴퓨터 보조공학적 지원 방안에 대한 객관적인 평가와 중재 전략의 도입은 쓰기 속도를 향상시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 이와 관련된 후속 연구에 대해 제언하였 다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of CAP(Computer access Assessment Program) training intervention using on-screen keyboard on writing speed of students with cerebral palsy. In addition, this study was to compare the on-screen keyboard with standard keyboard on writing speed. Three middle/high school students with cerebral palsy participated in this study. For the participants, we carried out the computer-based writing instruction using CAP with on-screen keyboard during 20 sessions with three times a week. The CAP also used in this study as an assessment tool to measure writing speed. The results are as follows: First, writing speed using on-screen keyboard of three participants were increased by apply CAP training intervention. Second, on-screen keyboard is more effective in terms of writing speed than standard keyboard that participants have been using for years. The results indicates that the CAP training intervention for using on-screen keyboard is effective in improving the writing speed of students with cerebral palsy.
