This study is designed to analyze the employment circumstances the blinds
experience through phenomenological method. By carefully investigating the
employment circumstances that they have suffered in, the injustice experience can
be revealed in their own rightful voice. Moreover, the study will seek for solutions
to improve the related system and alternatives. The study engaged an in-depth
interview consisting of 8 participants who are categorized in first and second level
of blindness. The research used Colaizzi’s phenomenological method where he claims
that it is possible to fully comprehend people through experiences in their daily life.
The analyzing process progressed through 6 steps, based on the instinctual meaning
of experience as Colaizzi mentioned. The result of the analysis showed 9 topics and
22 meanings of the structure. In conclusion, it is evident that the employment
circumstances that the blind experience are unfair and inferior even though they
have enough desire and potential to execute high-level professional tasks. This
study is significant in providing the preliminary data to analyze the employment
experience from their point of view for political improvement.
