The purpose of the study was to investigate early childhood teachers’practices and perception of the
appropriateness for the education websites’contents. For this survey, Questionnaires are collected from 206
early childhood teachers working in the daycare centers in Seoul and Gyeongi Province, Korea. As a result
of analyzing the early childhood teachers’practices and perception of the education website: first, early
childhood teachers used the education website in the moderate level; they used it once or twice a week
and mostly transformed some of the data to meet the purpose of their educational activities. They also
searched on the internet by themselves mostly to get information, and used picture and photo materials
the most. Second, the educational domains of the contents mostly used in the education website were the
artistic experience area and communication area, in order; the educational activities were tallied in the
order of discourse, fairy tale story-telling, drama activities and childrens’poetry, and appreciation of music
and famous paintings. Third, the reason for preparing educational activities was answered as because data
was various and abundant and because it was easy to be used, in order; the standards of their selection
was answered as various and abundant contents, contents with good topic of information, and convenience
of the use, in order. Next, of the perception of the education website usage, content appropriateness was
significantly different according to the age of teachers, types of institutes and age of the class they were
in charge of; Lastly, teachers’ opinions of advantages and problems of the education website were divided
into the aspects of teachers, education website data type and young children; as for the improvement
plans, opinions of website itself and the state aspect were additionally suggested. The findings of the study
imply the need for the teacher support in order that they can use education website effectively.
