연구목적 본 연구는 성별에 따른 노인의 우울 특성을 조사하여, 향후 진행되는 노인의 우울 특성에 따른 프로그램의 개발과 서비스 지원의 질적인 향상을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 하는 것이다. 연구방법 성별에 따른 노인의 우울 특성을 조사하였으며, 그 결과를 빈도 및 백분율과 독립표본 t검정을 통 해 나타내었다. 연구결과 성별에 따른 노인의 우울 특성의 결과로는 “요즈음 들어 활동량이나 의욕이 많이 떨어지셨습니 까?”와 “생활이 지루하게 느껴질때가 많습니까?” 두 영역에서 모두 남자가 평균±표준편차에서 여 자보다 높게 나타났고, 통계적으로 성별에 따른 우울 특성이 유의미하게 차이가 있는 것으로 나 타났다(p<.05). 결론 성별에 따른 노인의 우울 특성의 결과로는 “요즈음 들어 활동량이나 의욕이 많이 떨어지셨습니 까?”와 “생활이 지루하게 느껴질때가 많습니까?” 두 영역에서 모두 남자가 여자보다 높게 나타났 고, 통계적으로 유의미하게 차이가 있었다(p<.05).
Objective : This study investigate on the Characteristics of Depression of Elderly according to gender, intended to serve as a basis for improving of program development and the quality of services support in future progress of Characteristics of Depression of elderly. Methods : The way of this study was analysis the investigation result of the characteristics of depression of elderly according to gender, the result analysis represented by frequency and percentage and independent sample T-test. Results : As a result of characteristics of depression of elderly according to gender "Just lately, Did you fall off a lot of activity or motivated?" and "How many times when you feel life is boring?" in both areas men appear higher than women in mean ± standard deviation, and it got statistically showed significantly difference that characteristics of depression of elderly according to gender(p <.05). Conclusion : As a result of characteristics of depression of elderly according to gender "Just lately, Did you fall off a lot of activity or motivated?" and "How many times when you feel life is boring?" in both areas men appear higher than women, and it got statistically showed significantly difference(p <.05).
