The study aims to analyze the overall trend for cooking activity-related researches
registered on domestic journals and to propose the future direction for the follow-up
researches. The 68 registered research papers on cooking activity were analyzed by the
categories of year and academic journal trend, research subject trend, research target
trend and characteristics of research methods. The following is the analyzed result. With
the explanatory research on the educational values of the cooking activity which was first
suggested in the 6th revised kindergarten curriculum in 1998, there have been an active
researches underway on the subject since 2000, while they have been registered on 41

used research method is experiment(54.06%), followed by survey(21.62%). The future
directions for the follow-up researches have been discussed and proposed based on the
research findings.
