농촌지역 여자청소년의 집단따돌림 가해경험에 관한 질적 사례 연구

국문초록

이 연구의 목적은 농촌지역 여자청소년의 집단따돌림 가해경험의 특징을 청소년의 입장에서 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 농촌지역 여자청소년 10명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 심층면담을 실시하였다. 자료분석결과, 농촌지역 여자청소년의 집단따돌림 가해경험과 관련하여 50개의 개념, 14개의 하위범주, 4개의 범주가 도출되었다. 가해경험의 특징은 크게 농촌의 사회적 관계에 기반한 따돌림특성, 따돌림발생기제, 멈춰지지 않고 반복되는 따돌림, 가해행동을 통한 정서적 경험으로 범주화되었다. 우선, 농촌지역 따돌림특성으로는 두 명씩 짝이 되면서 외톨이가 생김, 부모들끼리 친밀함의 불편함, 농촌학생의 배타성과 전학생의 부적응으로 나타났다. 둘째, 따돌림 발생기제로는 피해의식으로 시작된 따돌림,이유가 없는 따돌림, 다름을 느끼면서 시작된 따돌림으로 나타났다. 셋째, 농촌지역 여자청소년들은가해과정에서 주도적인 따돌림, 자기보호적 따돌림, 따돌림의 일상화, 사이버 상에서의 따돌림을 통해멈춰지지 않고 반복되는 따돌림을 경험하였다. 넷째, 농촌지역 여자청소년들은 가해 행동을 통한 정서적 경험을 하였다. 가해의 긍정정서로는 괴롭힘 그 강력한 힘과 통쾌함, 가해를 함께 하면서 느끼는안도감을 경험하였다. 부정정서로는 따돌림 가해의 양가감정을 경험하면서, 정서적 체험을 통한 자기반성적 변화를 경험하고 따돌림을 중단하는 현상이 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 농촌지역 여자청소년들의 집단따돌림 예방 및 지도에 대한 교육적 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문초록

This study explores bullying experiences of female adolescents in rural area in a qualitative way. Ten female adolescents who were bullies in rural areas are selected as participants for the study. Fifty concepts, 14 subcategories and 4 categories regarding bullying experiences of female adolescents in rural area are derived through interview methodology. Bullying experiences are categorized into bullying characteristics in rural areas, bullying mechanism, continuous bullying and emotional experiences through bullying behaviors. First, bullying characteristics include; there is a loner after others are paired up, inconvenience of intimacy among parents, exclusiveness of rural students, and maladjustment of transfer students. Second, bullying mechanism includes bullying initiated with victim mentality, bullying without any reason, and bullying from feeling different. Third, female adolescents in rural areas show behavior changes in accordance to bullying roles such as leading bullying, self-protective bullying, routinized bullying behaviors. and bullying in cyberspace. Fourth, female adolescents in rural areas emotionally experience through bullying behaviors, with positive emotional experiences of the strong power of bullying, thrilling feelings, relieved feelings, negative emotional experiences of ambivalence, and self-reflective changes resulting in stopping bullying behaviors. The results of this study suggest educational implications about the prevention and guidance of bullying of female adolescents in rural areas.
