국문초록

본 연구의 목적은 목표설정이론과 자기조절학습이론을 통합하여 대학생이 목표를 스스로 설정하고그것을 실행에 옮기는 과정에 필요한 학습관리 프로그램을 개발하고, 이렇게 통합된 프로그램이 대학생의 자기조절학습의 향상과 만성적으로 나타나는 학업적 지연행동의 감소에 영향을 미치는지를 검증하며, 구체적이고 도전적인 목표설정이 학업성취(평점 평균 및 지각된 성취도)를 향상시키는지 검증하는 것이었다. 연구를 위해 서울시에 위치한 1개 대학에서 실험집단 32명, 비교집단 32명으로 총 64명이 자발적으로 참여하였다. 프로그램에 참여한 학생들의 사전-사후검사에 대한 변화를 분석하기 위해대응표본 t-검증을 실시하였다. 또한 목표설정이론에 기초한 학습관리 프로그램이 효과적인지 검증하기 위해 1피험자 간(실험집단/비교집단)-1피험자 내(사전/사후)실험을 설계하였다. 연구 결과, 목표설정이론에 기초한 학습관리 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단은 비교집단보다 자기조절학습 능력이 향상되었다. 자기조절학습의 세 가지 구성요소에서 모두 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이며 향상되었다. 또한실험집단은 학업적 지연행동을 덜 나타내었다. 그러나 집단과 시기에 따른 상호작용 효과에서 실험집단의 학업적 지연행동 감소가 비교집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 마지막으로, 전체 학기 평점 평균은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 반면, 실험집단의 지각된 성취도는 비교집단에 비해 참여 전과 후에 따라 차이가 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 학습관리 프로그램이 자기조절학습 능력의 향상, 학업적 지연행동의 감소, 지각된 성취도에는 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 반면, 학업성취도 수준(평점 평균)의 향상에는 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 목표를 일시적으로 다룬 기존 학습 관련 프로그램들과는 달리, 목표설정의 전체적인 흐름을자기조절학습의 네 단계에 따라 장기적으로 다룬 것이 학생들의 자기조절학습 능력 발달에 영향을 미쳤으며, 학생들을 목표 설정의 주체가 되도록 함으로써 목표에 대한 세부적인 계획을 수립하였고 학습에 대한 미루기 행동을 감소시켰다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문초록

This study was to develop a learning program for training university students in goal-setting by themselves and to examine the effectiveness of this program. The objective of this study was to get student participants to set their own goals in their courses and regulate a goal-setting process for achieving these goals. To examine the effectiveness of the program, quantitative data were collected from en experimental group and a comparison group, 32 university students in each group. To analyze the effectiveness of the program, this study conducted paired sample t-test for intra-individual changing in the participating students and a 2x2 repeated ANOVA(analysis of variance) for one between-subjects and one within-subject design. The results are summarized as follows. The results of this study showed that 1) the learning management program for training university students improved their self-regulated learning. 2) The program decreased academic procrastination. In intra-individual change, the program was significantly effective in decreasing the students’ academic procrastination. 3) The program did not increase the students’ GPAs, but it did not cause a decline in their current grades either. However, 4) the program improved the participating students’ perceived achievement about learning.
