The purpose of this study is to test reliability and validity for validation of ABAS:
R. In order to achieve the purpose of study, it was administered with 992 children
from kindergarten to middle school level. The results of this study are as follows:
First, the results of reliability test of ABAS; R shows split-half coefficients of .95,
item response theory reliability coefficient of .99, Cronbach's coefficient alpha of .76,
and standard error of measurement of .78.
Second, the results of validity test of ABAS: R shows that correlation coefficient of
ABAS: R and KISE-BAAT(Reading) is .91 and intercorrelation coefficient between
subtests range from .74 to .90.
Therefore, reliability and validity of ABAS: R are considered as satisfactory and
could be recommended as an appropriate reading academic achievement test.
