연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 계획된 우연기술과 진로적응성을 검토하고, 두 변인이 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지, 또한 이 두 변인이 어떤 관련이 있는지를 구체적으로 확인하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구 는 A시에 소재한 2개 4년제 대학교에 재학하는 학생 462명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 이루어졌다. 통계 적 분석은 계획된 우연기술과 진로적응성의 성별에 따른 차이를 확인하기 위해 t-검증을 실시하고, 두 변인 간의 관계를 구체적으로 검토하기 위하여 계획된 우연기술의 하위요인군을 독립변인으로, 진로적응성의 하 위요인군을 종속변인으로 하는 정준상관분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 계획된 우연기술과 진로적응성 은 성별에 따른 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 남학생의 계획된 우연기술과 진로적응성이 여학생보다 유의미하 게 높았다. 둘째, 정준상관분석 결과 계획된 우연기술과 진로적응성 간에 유의미한 정적 관계가 나타났다. 남학생과 여학생의 자료를 분리하여 분석한 결과 두 변인의 관계에 성별에 따른 차이가 발견되었다. 결론: 대학생을 위한 진로교육에는 우연을 인식하고 이를 기회로 활용할 수 있는 계획된 우연기술의 증진과 진로 과정에의 적응성을 함양하는 내용이 포함될 필요가 있으며, 성별에 따른 차별적인 진로지도가 요구된다.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the gender difference in planned happenstance skills and career adaptability of college students, and was to identify the relationship between those two variables. Method: This study was conducted by a survey. The participants of this study were 462 college students of 2 universities in A city. To analyze the data, t-test and canonical correlation analysis were performed. Results: First, significant gender differences were found in planned happenstance skills and career adaptability. Scores of male students were significantly higher than those of female students. Second, the planned happenstance skills were positively related to the career adaptability. In addition, differential relationship between those two variables by gender was found. Conclusion: Career education in universities should help students cultivate planned happenstance skills in order to enhance graduates’ career adaptability.
