The purpose of this study is to identify the principal and teacher's recognition of the nursing
home evaluation certification and the support needs of the principals and teachers for maintenance
after certification. The subjects of the study were 275 principal and teachers who experienced
evaluation certification from January 2011 to July 2015 in D city. The questionnaire was distributed
from July 13, 2015 and collected until July 31, 2015. Among the questionnaires collected, 275 were
excluded except for 25 cases where the answers were inadequate. The results of this study are as
follows: First, the assistance of the comprehensive support center for child care support was most
helpful for the evaluation certification process, and the field observation method was appropriate.
Second, after the evaluation and certification, the nursery school conducts its own check-ups as
needed to continue the system that was created during the preparation of evaluation and certification.
Also, in order to maintain the nursery school, overtime work, document and paperwork showed
difficult problem to teachers in part. Third, principals answered that the support for maintenance
management should be supplemented with diverse and realistic indicators as a practical authentication
indicator for the type of day care center. Teachers answered that the support should provide
assistance of specialists for early childhood education specialists and child care activities.
