As the industry changes, knowledge which is needed for designers have
become widespread. Current education also needs to be adjusted accordingly. The
purpose of this study is to take conclusion which is helpful for the balanced
design education in the education field through the experiment and the literature
study. First, the experiment verified that the Holland type could change through
the initial stimulus. The initial stimulus was given to the experimental group and
the control group through the images, respectively. As a result, it was confirmed
that the vulnerable type of the experimental group increased 2.9 points (total score
is 13 points). Next, in case of literature study, the Holland type keywords were
extracted by referring to the previous research. In addition, extracted key keywords
were provided by the learning module in the industrial design field in the National
Competency Standards. The keywords extracted from the two documents were
matched to find out what type of talent the NCS requires in the Holland type. As
a result, it was found that ARI type talent was required. Therefore, it was found
that there was a possibility of balanced design education and capacity cultivation
through grasping the students from Holland type and initial stimulation.
