This study was performed to provide basic ideas as understanding and application of oriental
qi-flavor Theory for food art theory application. Qi-flavor theory, fundamental theory of oriental
medicated diet therapy(OMDT), is the theory of discerning effectiveness and function of each diet
ingredient that has qi, flavor and channels entered and has its root on oriental philosophies and
medicine. This study provides elderly persons with curable diet that is set to fit their own health
status, based on foundries form Qi-flavor theory in order to prevent disease and promote health. It
also attempts to refocus on values of qi-flavor theory and develop regimen porridges to help the
restore function of five viscera to improve their health and prevent diseases. From now on,
applying Food Art Therapy program, nutritional education, conference and dissertation about effects
of counselling using various food.
