본 연구의 목적은 전공과 정체성을 모색하고 이를 통해 전공과의 운영 방향성 및 활성화 방안을 연구하는 데 있다. 시범학교를 시작으로 전공과가 시작된 지 20년이 넘었지만 설치 목적 및 그 정체성에 대한 논란이 여전히 제기되고 있으며, 운영에 있어서도 혼선을 겪고 있다. 그럼에도 고등학교를 졸업한 장애인 당사자의 전공과 진학 희망은 날로 커지고 있으며, 전공과 진학이 좌절된 학부모의 민원은 증가하고 있다. 당면한 전공과의 문제점들을 극복하기 위해 전공과의 정체성을 재고하고 향후 전공과가 나아가야 할 방향과 전공과의 운영을 활성화하기 위한 방안을 모색해야 하는 요구와 필요성이 어느 때보다 강하다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전공과 현장 경험이 풍부한 경기도 지역 교사 및 학교 관리자, 그리고 전공과 연구에 매진해온 전문가들을 대상으로 포커스그룹면담을 실시하여 다양한 의견을 수집하였으며, 이를 토대로 전공과 정체성, 운영 방향성 및 활성화 방안을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to research the operating direction and promotion plan of the major course based on identity establishment. Although it has been more than 20 years since the pilot school began, the establishment purpose and its identity is still unclear. Nevertheless, the hope of entering the major course is increasing day by day at the people with disabilities who have graduated from high school. In order to overcome the problems of the major course, it is necessary to re-establish its identity and to find the operating direction and ways to revitalize. In this study, the Focus Group Interview(FGI) is conducted for teachers, school administrators, and experts who have abundant experiences in major courses and educational fields. The results of this study show the ways to establish the identity and to find the operating directions and promotion plan for the major course for the future.
