The purpose of this study is to research the operating direction and promotion
plan of the major course based on identity establishment. Although it has been more
than 20 years since the pilot school began, the establishment purpose and its
identity is still unclear. Nevertheless, the hope of entering the major course is
increasing day by day at the people with disabilities who have graduated from high
school. In order to overcome the problems of the major course, it is necessary to
re-establish its identity and to find the operating direction and ways to revitalize. In
this study, the Focus Group Interview(FGI) is conducted for teachers, school
administrators, and experts who have abundant experiences in major courses and
educational fields. The results of this study show the ways to establish the identity
and to find the operating directions and promotion plan for the major course for the
future.
