The study is a case study of sandtray therapy for infants who experienced
trauma. The infant was suffering from a trauma that lost his grandmother, mother
and younger brother due to an accident in which the father's car was overturned
on the way to go with the family, at the time of the transfer to the hospital, the
infant also had a cast on the leg due to the fracture, after that, a child with
experienced extreme anxiety and fear reported that he was not trying to fall away
from his father. The problem that appeared as the difficulty of everyday life is
the psychological symptom that appears in the trauma, which causes anxiety,
irritation, surprise, he cries when sleeping, not let the door shut, frequent
irritations and not eat food, and he always would not want to drop his father. To
solve these problems, a total of 18 sandtray therapy were performed. The purpose
of this study is to analyze the process of recovering the psychological stability of
the infant and the negative emotional expression in the sand box. Looking at the
results of the analysis, as the infant progressed to the sandtray therapy, he got a
sense of psychological stability and the negative emotional expression changed
positively. The first changes in the sand box were chaos and confusion, during
the middle of the treatment, struggles and major acts appeared, at the end of
treatment, group adaptation began.
