본 연구는 성폭력 피해 아동을 대상으로 모래상자치료를 적용한 상담이 아동의 자기표현과 자기결정에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고, 아동의 참여권이 일상생활에서 어떻게 변화되는 지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 아동을 대상으로 총 32회기의 모래상자치료를 실시한 결과 자기표 현에 긍정적인 영향이 있음을 검증하였다. 회기가 진행될수록 안전된 보호, 수용, 공감을 통해 내면의 욕구와 감정을 표출하고 자신과 타인의 감정을 인식하며 외상 사건을 직면함으로 여성 성을 회복하면서 긍정적 자아상을 확립하였다. 또한 가정, 학교, 사회에서 자기결정력을 확대되 고 특별프로그램에 능동적으로 참여하여 권리 주체로서 참여권을 행사는 변화를 보였다. 본 연 구결과 모래상자치료가 성폭력 피해 아동의 자기표현과 자기결정에 긍정적 변화를 가져옴으로 참여권 증진에 유용한 치료도구임을 시사한다고 할 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to explore how sandtray therapy affects sexually abused children's self-expression and self-decision and changes their right of involvement in everyday lives. After being given total thirty two sessions of sandtray therapy to these children, it was proven that they have positive effects on making self- expression. Subjects in this study expressed inner side desire and emotions through safe protection, acception and sympathy realizing the emotions of both themselves and other people, which established positive self-images restoring femininity and facing traumatic events. Besides, the ability of their self-determination was expanded at home, school and society and they showed the right to participate as the subject of rights on actively attending special programs. The results suggest that sandtray is a useful tool for improving the right to participate leading to positive changes on self-expression and self-determination for children who were sexually abused.
