This study analyzes organizational effectiveness of autonomous
management of curriculum in small size school in the aspects of input,
process and output. The major research results are as follows. First, in the
aspect of input the school could gain extra resources such as faculty
member, finance and facilities, and curriculum discretion since it has been
chosen as curriculum innovation school, small size school model policy pilot
school, curriculum specialization school. Secondly, in the aspect of process
there has been face to face teaching, family atmosphere among faculty
members, faculty members' strong motive for quality teaching, leadership by
principals, etc. Those factors contributed to the building school size school
model by autonomous management of curriculum. Thirdly, in the aspects of
output the school at risk of closing has been changed to school for
preference, where it could help students to live happy life and form
positive attitude. It could help students to improve their learning ability and
creativity. It also suggests the followings as policy recommendations. It needs
to build secondary school sharing the same philosophy in the area. It also
needs to provide other small size schools autonomous management of
curriculum so that the schools could develop their own features and
strengths in school curriculum.
