The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of reminiscent song-based
music therapy on emotional expression and life quality in the aged residing in nursing
facilities. With an experimental group and a control group, this study looks into the
effects of the group music therapy program and then analyzes the results. The
subjects selected in this study are elderly people who are at the age of 65 or older
living in D Sanatorium located in C City. They are equipped with a clear sense,
communicate favorably in their everyday lives, have no audible or visual impairment,
and participate in the program sitting down for over 50 minutes. 15 people were
assigned in the experimental group, and another 15 in the control group. The
experimental group included 9 males and 6 females, and the control group consisted
of 7 males and 8 females, and their average age was 70.5.
