This study aims to investigate the establishment of ideology on a forward-looking patriots and Veterans Affairs focusing on a college student culture as a new generation. Because the ideology on patriots and Veterans Affairs focused on the perspective of the older generation who lived in the era of nation-states would not accept the standpoint of the college students who are living in the post-modern era, the ideology of older generation is not appropriate in the context of the advent of globalization and multicultural society. In this occasion, Veterans Affairs ideology as its own national integration needs to be reconstructed on the basis of the common humanity represented by freedom, human rights and ecological values and so on. For this purpose, we should illuminate the characteristics of the post-modern era and reveal the traits of the new generation culture as a 'unbearable lightness of being'. Subsequently, we can clarify the characteristics of the culture of college students as a new generation in the areas of routine of the competition, interpersonal relations, employment etc. They usually reveal self-centered consciousness strongly, thus they are living an achievement-oriented life by overlooking the meaning and importance of community. The ideology on a forward-looking patriots and Veterans Affairs that can reflect the culture of college students is as follows: First of all, ideology on State Veterans in the era of globalization and multiculturalism should be able to expand its scope to global citizenship values based on freedom, human rights, democracy, etc. beyond the unilateral dimension that inspires patriotism of a particular state. Then, when we keep in mind the situation of Northeast Asia area with strong nationalism, we are trying to shed new light on patriots and Veterans ideology that can contribute to the formation of a universal cultural community in Northeast Asia area.
