The reserch was aimed to investigate the effects of a self-learning method using video recording
education on fundamental practicums. The subjects included 85 Nursing students. For 4 months, one group
pretest-posttest design. The data were analyzed using SPSS WIN (17.0). Paired t-test, Pearson's correlation
coefficients were used. Analysis of training after self-directed learning skills, showed significant differences
in academic self-efficacy, problem solving skills, all three variables were static correlation. Therefore, I
recommend that take advantage of the self-evaluation method using video recording on Fundamental
practicums.
