In this paper, we analyze the degree of teachers' professional zone of acceptance according to the type
of organizational culture. More specifically, the study analyzes differences between the school organizational
culture and teacher’s professional zone of acceptance according to the regular teachers and head of
departments. The research target were 214 out of the 250 elementary school teachers employed within
Seoul. Based on the findings of this study, the following suggestions and conclusions were found. Upon
analyzing whether the individual backgrounds affect the differences between school organizational culture
and teacher’s professional zone of acceptance, the head of departments have a higher perception of
reformed culture and group cultures than regular teachers. School organizational culture influenced teachers'
professional zone of acceptance. More specifically, national culture and reform culture have positive effects
on teachers' professional zone of acceptance.
