This study aimed to identify the factors affecting smartphone addiction among climacteric women. Subjects of parents in K University completed a structured questionnaire consisting of the Smartphone Adiction, physical activity, obesity, sleeping time and depression from September 1st to October 10th 2014. We analyzed the survey data from 235 responses, excluding unreturned or incomplete surveys. Data were analyzed using the t-test and X2 test to determine the differences in smartphone addiction, physical activity, sleeping time and depression among climacteric women. Moreover, Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to examine the correlation on smartphone addiction, physical activity, sleeping time and depression. Longer time spent using smartphone per day was directly related to smartphone addicton(p<.001). Subjects with a higher extent of smartphone addiction experienced increased depression. and decreased physical activity, sleeping time. Therefore, this results identified the relationship of physical activity, sleeping time and depression along to smartphone addiction and can be useful in developing exercise program for smartphone addiction prevention.
