In the past, museums stressed their function to collect and preserve. However, as society became more complex, the demands for museums, as a space to experience traditional culture and history and to provide visitors with leisure and pleasure, continued to diversify and rapidly change. In other words, the concept of museum exhibitions does not stop in the delivery of information but reaches an emotional charge and interaction. These changes are caused mostly by the development of the information and communications technology. Even if the digital technology is only a means, the exhibition will be shunned by visitors unless the digital technology is well understood. Thus, the new experimental exhibition type shall continue to be diversified using the digital technology. Thus, museums shall determine their characteristics, type, collection, etc., depending on their exhibition environments. Also, museums shall be able to have visitors be moved by harmonizing an analog concept with a digital one. To sum up, in interpreting the definition of museums of the present time, museums are nonprofit organizations and are obliged to collect, research, preserve, and exhibit cultural heritages. Moreover, museums shall improve the qualitative level of visitors based on the correct understanding of the collection and shall move visitors. Furthermore, museums shall improve visitors’ experience through exhibition presentations and continuous interaction with them.
