본 연구의 목적은 ‘양성평등기본법’의 시행 이후 폭력예방교육이 의무화됨에 따라 현재 시행되고 있는 폭력예방교육의 실태와 문제점을 살펴보고 개선방안을 논의하고자 한다. 폭력예방교육은 1990년 대부터 여성운동의 노력으로 지속적으로 의무화되며 확대되었으며, 성폭력, 가정폭력, 성매매, 성희롱 등 다양한 여성에 대한 폭력으로 확대되었다. 이러한 폭력예방교육은 사후 처방이 아닌 여성에 대한 폭력을 사전예방하기 위한 것인 만큼 ‘안전’과 ‘인권’에 초점을 둔 성인지적 관점이 반영된 교육으로 행되어야 한다. 성인지적 관점은 여성과 남성이 지닌 생물학적, 사회문화적 경험의 차이로 서로 다른 이해나 요구를 갖고 있기 때문에 특정 개념이나 정책 등에서 한쪽 성에 유리하거나 불리하지는 않은 지에 성역할 고정관념이 개입되어 있지는 않은지를 검토하는 관점이다. 그러나 폭력예방교육은 다양 한 기관에 의해 실시되고 있기 때문에 폭력예방교육이 실질적인 효과를 위해서는 추진체계의 정비, 전문 강사의 양성과 체계적 관리, 교육의 내실화와 다양화, 폭력예방교육의 효과 점검강화가 필요하 다.
The purpose of the study was to investigate the current status of violence prevention education that since the ‘Gender Equality Basic Law’. Gender perspective of violence prevention education is focus to ‘Safety’ and ‘Human rights’. Gender perspective as differences in the biological, social and cultural experience possessed by women and men with different interests or demands. Therefore Certain concepts and policies on sex if they are an advantage or disadvantage to one side in perspective to review if they are gender role stereotypes are involved. We identified the effect of violence prevention education and found the importance of : 1) maintenance of the propulsion system, 2) nourish of professional instructors and systematic management, 3) quality of education and diversification and 4) Strengthening of violence prevention education effect.
