본 연구는 특성화고 졸업생이 취업 후 고등교육학위를 수여하는 사내대학에 진학하여 어떠한 학 습을 경험하고, 그 경험의 의미는 무엇인지 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 먼저 연구의 중심 에 있는 사내대학의 도입 배경과 법적 근거, 운영현황을 분석하였고, 특성화고 졸업생의 대학 학습 경험에 대한 선행연구를 분석하였다. 또한 질적연구 중 단일 사례 연구를 통해 특성화고 졸업생의 선취업 후진학의 한 경로로써 사내대학에서 이루어지는 고등교육단계 학습 경험에 초점을 두고 이 를 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해, 사내대학 학생들은 사내대학 입학 이전에 겪은 학습 경험과 사내대학 입학 이 후 사내대학을 둘러싸고 있는 직장이라는 외재적 상황에 지속적으로 영향을 받은 것을 발견하였다. A사내대학 4명의 학생에 대한 인터뷰 결과, 사내대학의 학습 경험은 회사, 사내대학, 좁게는 직장 동료, 사내대학 학우의 연결고리 안에서 형성되는 것으로 나타났고, 구체적으로 일·학습 병행을 장 려하는 사내 문화, 사내대학 내 인간관계, 사내대학 학습의 즐거움, 일·학습 병행의 어려움이라는 4 가지 범주로 분류되었다. 이를 통해, 고졸 취업자를 위한 계속 교육의 한 경로로 제시되기 위해 사 내대학생의 근로자와 학생 중 학생의 역할을 지원해 줄 조력자가 필요하고, 일 학습 병행으로 여유 가 없는 학생들에게 개인 시간을 보장해줄 필요가 있으며, 학생들의 노력에 대한 사내대학과 회사 차원의 작은 보상은 사기 진작에 도움이 될 것이라는 점을 제안하였다.
This study aims to explore how the learning experience is constructed in corporate university, especially focusing on specialized high school graduates. The history and current state of operation of corporate university in Korea was reviewed based on preceding research and related legislation. Specialized high school graduates’ experience on college education was also analyzed based on literature review. In addition to referring public notice materials, four students were interviewed for the purpose of this study. As a result of a single case study, a type of qualitative research, learning experience in corporate university was shown to be constructed not only by external conditions surrounding students such as company the students belong to but also preceding experiences through which students went before they started college education in corporate university. Four themes have emerged: supportive atmosphere of company, human relations in corporate university, joy of studying in corporate university, and difficulties of studying and working at once. Based on the results, the followings were recommended to make corporate university better continuing education for student-workers after graduating from specailized high school: students need 1) supports to strengthen their role as students; 2) private time to refresh themselves from work and study; 3) rewards that would help raise their morale to study and work.
