This study aimed to examine relationships among mother’s creative problem solving, playfulness,
parenting efficacy and children’s creative behavior. For the purpose, data was collected from mothers of
young children, who lived in Gyeonggi province(n=420). The data was analyzed by Structual Equation
Modeling(SEM). Results revealed that first, mother’s creative problem solving and playfulness had no direct
effects on children’s creative behavior. Mother’s parenting efficacy mediated the relationship between
mother’s creative problem solving and children’s creative behavior, and also playfulness too. The
implications of these findings are discussed, expecially focusing on the ways to improve children’s creative
behavior.
