It is important to manage an educational facility used by many students, Thus, the office of education
has responsibility to manage public school facilities of most elementary, middle, and high schools. N school
and B school in Jeju are the international schools established by BTL (Build-Transfer-Lease) and operated
by the SPC (special purpose company) respectively. The facilities of two schools are managed by the same
facility management specialty since each school was established. This study analyzes the facility
management cases of the schools and suggests improvement measures. Facility management at each school
assesses the level of facility management through quarterly performance evaluation and user’s satisfaction,
and the systematic management of these systems results in a higher level of facility management. However,
since the aging of the building is progressing, more detailed facilities management is required. some
questionnaires of user satisfaction and performance evaluation criteria are insufficient to evaluate the level
of facility management. The questionnaires and the evaluation criteria are required to be reformed to
improve the level of facility management because education environment such as an increase in student
numbers is changing,
