In the age of the knowledge economy, enterprises strive to achieve optimal management performance by
applying the ERP solution to overall management in information technology. This research examined the
concept and introduction of ERP and the success factors for its operation through the enterprise’ availability
and creation of ERP. Major factors in the stage of ERP operation are the top management’s constant
support, and based on this, the continuous improvement of the process and the continuous integration and
expansion of the system are needed. Reflecting this, this research adopted the ERP solution-oriented
introduction approach and the phased approach according to the package-driven method as the ERP
methodology. The ERP-driven process is efficient so that it is suitable to the enterprises, and it brings
about the improvement and innovation of the process. And the phased approach has risks such as the
limitation of resource, manpower input, and the decline of performances for a certain period of time, but it
should be introduced after minimizing such risks and determining the scope which can bring about the
improvement and innovation of the process, and the utilization outcomes can be raised continuously through
continuous improvements. This research has an academic value in presenting the solution-centered
introduction method and methodology that can be utilized in promoting the introduction of ERP for the
domestic enterprises.
