교복은 학생들에게 있어 일과생활에서 가장 오래 착용하는 의복으로서 직업의 관점에서 보면 업무 복의 일종이라 할 수 있다. 또한 교복의 역할은 학교의 건학이념 및 학교문화를 포함해서 학교상징 및 나아가 그 사회의 경제발전 상황 및 사회현상까지도 반영한다. 또한 교복은 학교와 다른 사회집단 과의 구별하는 표시 기능으로서 절대적인 구속력과 상징성을 갖고 있다. 최근 중국의 교복도 일반 패 션시장처럼 소비자(착용자)의 욕구를 반영한 교복디자인의 변화를 요구하고 있으나, 여전히 인민복처 럼 디자인의 변화는 거의 없고 학생들의 달라진 체형이나 취향도 전혀 반영하지 않고 있다. 더구나 대다수의 초·중등학교는 교복이 없는 상태로 학생들은 학교생활을 하고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 대다 수의 학생과 학부형들은 교복에 대한 강한 필요성을 표출하기 시작하였고, 국가와 각 성(省)에서도 교 복에 대한 필요성과 관심을 가지게 되었다. 이에 본 논문은 중국의 초·중등학교 학생, 학부모 및 학교 종사자에 대한 설문조사를 통해 교복에 요구되는 선호하는 디자인, 소재, 컬러를 조사, 분석하여 새로운 교복 디자인 개발방안을 제시함으로 써 중국의 학생교복의 디자인 개선에 대한 근거를 제시하고 교복업체의 마케팅전략에 도움을 주고자 한다.
Uniforms are the most worn clothing for students in their work and life, and they are a kind of job suit from a job perspective. Also, the role of school uniform is symbolizing the school including the school's ideology and school culture. It also reflects the economic development and social phenomena of the society. Also, school uniform has absolute binding power and symbolism as a distinguishing function between school and other social groups. Recently, uniforms in China are demanding a change in uniform design that reflects the needs of consumers (wearers) as in the general fashion market. However, there is still little change in design, like a Chinese person clothes, and it does not reflect students' changing body or taste. Moreover, most primary and secondary schools have no school uniforms and students are in school. In this situation, the majority of students and parents began to express a strong need for school uniforms. And in the state and provinces, the need for and interest in school uniforms has been raised.
